Afriend of 8 months just out of the blue started acting weird. Then said him and I need to talk.?

He was shakey and stated he was in love with me. He teared up often. I was a bit shocked. He knows I'm not fond of jumping into relationships and I'm touchy about the word Love. 2 days later he wants me to start meeting his family? WTF? I told him I wasn't ready for anything like this and it was totally inexpected. Basically,it aint gonna happen. Isn't this weirdbehavior? Now he's acting as if I wrecked his world.
