Can you name some ways vegetarians/vegans are represented/misrepresented in media?

They always act like vegan food is only weird/gross stuff like a big plate of stringy limp seaweed, like in the scene from Baby Momma or whatever that movie was called with Tina Fey - they were eating at a vegan restaurant and it was all weird crap and the staff looked like they were all strung out on weed.
